In our first year as an FTC team in the 2008/2009 season, we were named RUST Robotics for Robots Undertake Serious Tasks. The game was Face-Off and we build IRONMAN for the challenge. Below are some pics from our first year and also a few clips of how we fared at the state tournament at Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix. We came away with the Best Design award for the 2009 season. Not bad as a rookie team! Our design was slick, simple, and functioned well. As you can see, we put holes in our Lexan bucket to reduce the load on our 2 servos which allowed us to collect and unload all 8 pucks from each puck rack fairly easily.
